Without the shredded sofa.

Live cozy. Love cats.

CozeCat makes furniture that works for both of you — beautiful enough for your living room, irresistible enough for your cat.

Three sofas. Twelve years. One very determined cat.

Meet Luna. She's 2 years old, weighs 9 pounds, and has personally retired three of our sofas.

The first was a hand-me-down — fine, lesson learned. The second was supposed to be "scratch-resistant" microfiber. (It wasn't.) The third was a $1,800 mid-century piece we saved six months for. Luna had it looking like shredded wheat in eleven weeks.

We tried everything. Sticky tape on the corners. Citrus spray. Three different scratching posts that ended up as glorified laundry racks. A cardboard scratcher shaped like a wave that, we'll admit, looked exactly like a cardboard scratcher shaped like a wave sitting in our living room.

Nothing worked. Either Luna ignored it, or it ruined the room.

What if the scratcher was the furniture?

One night — sometime around sofa #3 — we had a thought.

Cats don't scratch sofas because they're vindictive. They scratch sofa corners because the vertical edge is the perfect height, the perfect angle, and conveniently located right where they hang out with us.

So instead of fighting Luna's instincts, what if we gave her something better in the exact same spot? Something that looked like real furniture — because it was real furniture — with a scratching surface built into the side facing the sofa?

An end table for us. A scratching station for her. Same piece. Same corner. No compromise.

We sketched it on the back of a takeout menu. Two years and seventeen prototypes later, we filed for a patent.

Designed around four non-negotiables

  • Looks like furniture, not a cat toy

We started with the table. Solid wood top, clean lines, neutral tones — a piece you'd buy even if you didn't own a cat. The scratching surface tucks into the side, hidden from the room's main sightline.

  • Cats actually use it

The sisal panel is angled, textured, and positioned at the exact height cats prefer for a full-body stretch. We tested with 14 cats across 9 households before locking the geometry.

  • Built to outlast your cat

Furniture-grade plywood. Solid hardwood corners. Replaceable sisal mats so the table outlasts the scratching surface (cats are thorough). No particleboard, no MDF, no shortcuts.

Our community

2,653 cat parents (and counting)

When we launched, we figured we'd sell a few hundred units to friends, family, and the cat-Instagram crowd. Nine months later, PawSide Table is in 2,653 homes across the US — and we're hearing the same three things on repeat:

"My sofa is finally safe."
"My husband actually likes how it looks."
"My cat used it within the first hour."

We read every email. We answer every DM. If your cat ignores it, we'll help you troubleshoot — and if it still doesn't work, we'll take it back.
